Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d Follow On Social Media

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Thought I’d get back in to doing Top Ten Tuesday as it’s pretty much always fun and I really love this week’s topic. It would be so great to able to follow your favourite characters on social media, like imagine Hermione’s twitter feed or Luna Lovegood’s instagram.

Along with listing the characters I’m also going to break down what social media platforms I would actually follow this person on.

Manon Blackbeak (Throne of Glass)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Instagram
Manon would totally have a great instagram account. Pictures with Abraxos, Elide, Asterin and the rest of the Thirteen. I’d just have to ignore the odd picture of her and Dorian but it’d be worth it for the wyvern pictures.

Tessa Gray (The Shadowhunter Chronicles)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Twitter, Goodreads and Instagram
I reckon Tessa would have a book blog and a bookstagram which she would update when she’s not busy helping save the world. She’d also sometimes post pictures with Will and/or Jem and sometimes Magnus.

Hermione Granger (Harry Potter)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr
I kinda imagine it would literally just be like following Emma Watson but with added magic. Just imagine the rants Hermione would go on. She’d also have a facebook page for the SPEW campaign.

Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Instagram, Tumblr and Youtube
Luna would have the funnest instagram and tumblr accounts. She’d post pictures of bizarre creatures and of herself looking for nargles, she’s also use instagram to promote her etsy shop selling homemade jewelry. As a sidehobby she’d have a youtube channel where she’d talk about conspiracy theories.

Genya Safin (The Grishaverse)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Instagram and Youtube
Any of the Grisha on social media would be amazing but I’d especially love Genya. She’d have a bit of a mash-up account I think with friends, fashion, magic, recipes (for poison). She’d also have a youtube she’d post vlogs to occasionally. Just imagine her and David’s ‘my boyfriend does my makeup’ challenge.

Sabran Berethnet (The Priory of the Orange Tree)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Instagram and Twitter
Sabran’s instagram would be full of pictures of her and Ead. She’d also have a twitter where she’d post depression memes. She’d also frequently post feminist quotes in her instagram stories.

Evelyn Hugo (The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Instagram and Twitter
Evelyn would have a largely inactive twitter that she’d mostly use to promote her films and a social cause every so often. She’d be much more active on instagram, where she’d post ‘behind the scenes’ photos and clips, along with pictures with her friends and family. There’d be just enough photos with Celia to show that they’re close but not enough that people would get too suspicious, although some still would. They’d be tumblr blogs claiming her and Celia were a couple, neither of them would confirm or deny the fact.

Cardan Greenbriar (The Folk of the Air)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Twitter
Cardan would have the snarkiest twitter account and would constantly be subtweeting about people who piss him off and getting into twitter feuds. He’d also post pictures of himself look sad with captions like ‘when Jude goes away’ and ‘tfw you exile your wife.’

Feyre Archeron (A Court of Thorns and Roses)
Platforms I’d follow this character on: Instagram
Feyre would have a public instagram for her art, which she’d also sell on etsy. She’d also have a private instagram for personal stuff, although she wouldn’t let many people follow it. She’d have Tamlin blocked so he couldn’t see either account.

All The Characters From Wuthering Heights

Yes I would follow all of them even though most of them are just terrible people it would be like watching a car crash and no one would be able to look away. Just imagine all that drama going down via twitter, instagram etc. Heathcliff posting subtweets following Cathy and Edgar’s engagement. Cathy posting vague tweets about love, no one’s sure if they’re about Heathcliff or Edgar. Isabella Linton would post a youtube video titled ‘The Truth about Heathcliff’ after she leaves him. Heathcliff would then release a statement on twitter via a screenshot of the notes app denying everyting. Nelly starts an anonymous gossip blog telling everyone what’s really going on. Everyone gets really sad after Cathy goes into the rain, catches a cold and dies. A few years later her daughter starts an investigative youtube series to find out what really happened all those years ago, everyone finds her relationship with her cousins incredibly weird.
