Zodiacathon: Dark Edition TBR

Zodiacathon is a readathon based around the Zodiac, it’s hosted over on twitter and is run by Kerri @ The Book Belle. Decided to take part in this as I look all things spooky and that includes when my horoscope is just /slightly/ too accurate.

This readathon is taking place between 19th-25th March and is the ‘dark edition’ as it is based around the Lilith Black Moon sign. Which I didn’t actually know was a thing until I found this readathon but apparently my Lilith sign is Virgo. Which I weirdly guess before going and finding my birth chart (spooky right?).

There are six different challenges in this readathon, some of which are specific to your Lilith sign.

Challenge One: Complete Your Lilith Challenge
As I’m a Lilith Virgo my challenge is to read a book with mixed reviews. For this I’m going to be reading Zel by Donna Jo Napoli. I’ve been meaning to read this book for years so looking forward to actually getting around to doing it.

Challenge Two: Buddy read With Someone Who Shares Your Lilith
Buddy reading with a couple of other people doing this readathon over on twitter. For this challenge we’ve decided to read A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston.

Challenge Three: Read A Book With A Mostly Black Cover
For this challenge I’m going to be reading The Age of Witches by Louise Morgan which I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of via netgalley.

Challenge Four: Read A Book With Dark Themes
For this I’m going to be reading Monstrous Heart by Claire McKenna, another arc I’ve been lucky to get over at netgalley. This book sounds really interesting and dark so should fit the theme.

Challenge Five: Read A Book With Something That Scares You
I’m going to be reading Wilder Girls by Rory Power, which I’m also reading as part of my sapphic book club over on twitter. Seen so many reviews saying how this book is actually quite scary and it does sound pretty spooky.

Challenge Six: Read A Book With A Morally Grey Character
I am finally going to read the book that all the YA book community is obsessed with. Yes, for this challenge I am finally getting around to reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.

While these are what I’m planning to read some of them may end up changing depending on how I’m feeling when I actually get around to them.

Thanks for reading, and if you’re taking part in this readathon let me know in the comments what you’re planning on reading.
